How-to Reuse Wedding Decor in Your Home

Don't worry, if your not engaged or even in a relationship this post is still for you! These are just a few fun easy ways to decorate your home; and if you are engaged, these are a few fun tips for buying things for your wedding that you can later reuse in your home to decorate.

Getting settled in to a new place with my husband was at first a bit intimidating. I felt stressed about making things look and feel like a home immediately. But by using the things I had already used in my wedding, those initial steps of decorating became so much easier. I already had a plan and the supplies to implement them!

For starters I placed old books, jars, and candles above our kitchen cabinets as an accent for that antiqued, vintage look. This also turned out to be an excellent use for storage space. Who knows when I'll need a jar or old book pages for another DIY!

Next, I reused the table covers I used at our reception to make decorative pillows. We had a coffee shop themed reception so the colors I chose to use were ones that made me feel warm and cozy; which also turned out to be the perfect compliment for our floral couch!

I have always wanted to own an old chest to hold all of my little treasures. We used this chest as a guestbook! Our guest were asked to write us a note on a mini scroll we provided then drop it off in the chest. It was so fun coming back from our Honeymoon to read all the notes from our friends and family! After taking out the notes, this old chest is now the home for all my favorite blankets.
