I first started listening to Manchester Orchestra when I began developing ideas for Art Burns Red. I had heard of them before from a friend but never invested any time to listen to their stuff. Once I heard my (still) favorite song, "Where Have You Been," I was hooked. There's something about the way Andy Hull (the lead singer) conveys their passionate and always honest lyrics that makes each song so relatable. Even if I haven't been through that specific scenario in my own life, I feel like the song places me in to the story as if I were there watching the characters play it out.
I think one of the most exciting things has been witnessing their band inspire other musicians to make beautiful music. It makes me want to do something, to inspire people too...
